Update 6:00 am EDT: Maintenance has begun; Gaheris, Glamorgan, Mordred and Ywain are offline now.

We will be bringing Gaheris, Glamorgan, Mordred and Ywain offline tomorrow, 04/29, for a hotfix. These servers will be unavailable from 6:00 AM EDT/12:00 CEST on and be back online no later than 1:30 PM EDT/19:30 CEST.

The hotfix contains:

• Skill points will once again display the correct value for your class
• Weapon artifacts will once again be able to gain XP
• Special text characters will now work in all chats
• The misplaced display of quest messages has been fixed

Update 7:00 pm EDT: Pendragon is once again open to players.

Update 6:00 pm EDT: We brought down Pendragon to test the fixes for the patch issues we encountered. If things go as planned we will bring them to the live servers - including Glamorgan - later this evening.

Update 2:40 pm EDT: We are bringing Glamorgan offline to fix an issue with melee attack. At the moment we have no estimation when the server will be back online.

Update 1:10 pm: The archived servers are once again available for character transfer.

Update 11:40 am EDT: All live servers are available with version 1.109 now. Please note that the archived servers are still in maintenance and character transfers from them are currently not possible.

Update 6:00 am EDT: The patch day has begun and all servers are offline now.

We will be bringing all servers offline on Wednesday, 04/27, for the implementation of Patch 1.109. All servers will be unavailable from 6:00 AM EDT/12:00 CEST on. We anticipate that all servers will be back online no later than 1:30 PM EDT/19:30 CEST. Please be sure to check the Herald for updates regarding this downtime.

Highlights from this version include:

• Players who fall through the floor/ground in RvR enabled zones will now take normal falling damage when they hit the ground, potentially killing them.  PvE/RvR Death penalties apply and RPs will be awarded normally.
• A new Quest completion icon has been added to the quest system. Any NPC having a quest you can complete with him will now display a blue knot above his head.  (UI Modifiers see attached note.)
• All players who are wielding two weapons will now reduce their target's chance to block or evade by 25%.
• Slam - the stun duration has been reduced to 5 seconds for all classes except for Heroes, Armsmen, and Warriors.

After several long and challenging travels into the dungeons of the realms. The Half-Ogres, Trolls and Firbolg are content with their accomplishments for now. They will remain by your side, and you may continued to speak with the Matron to exchange these creatures. They will become passive vanity pets until there once again becomes a need for them.

Easter Egg Hunt:

Lady Mirabelle is at it again! She challenges anyone in the level ranges of 20-49 to speak with her at Castle Sauvage, Druim Ligen and Svasud Faste. As Spring continues to warm the air and soften the ground, she's once again hidden Eggs throughout the Battlegrounds. The challenge? Find those eggs! These quests are repeatable and are offered to anyone in Thidranki to the Cathal Valley battlegrounds. Players on Gaheris and Mordred may also speak with her, for a more challenging hunt! On the PvE and PvP ruleset servers she has hidden her eggs throughout the frontiers.  Good Luck, and Good Hunting!

Harbinger of Spring:

Scouts in the frontiers reported that the Harbinger of Spring hasn't been banished yet.  Sages suspect that the new focus on the hunt for eggs has allowed this dreadful creature to remain a threat, though they predict that the harbinger won't be around for much longer.

This event will run from February 14th through the 28st and brings back these familiar quests to players:

• A Matter of the Heart: This quest will give players of all realms the chance find the imp, Russel, near the gates of their capital cities, ready to offer some interesting tasks from the local imp's union in return for a Lawn Cupid trophy, experience and coin.
  
  
• The Keeping Company: This quest will be offered to characters level 45 and above and will have a unique challenge for players in Albion, Midgard and Hibernian.  As a reward, players will receive a Tiny Compatriot Crate trophy, experience and coin.
  
  
• The Valentine's Traditions: These quests will offer three old style quests which were part of the original Dark Age of Camelot Valentine's Day content. Players will be able to complete the quest up to three times, which is based on the number of times the original quest has been issued online.  Players will be rewarded with a Hearts Cloak, Heart-Shaped Box, experience and coin.

Hot Fix - 02/11/11

• German translations for trade skill recipes have been updated
  
  
• Players using non-German languages on Glamorgan are now able to add money to their lockboxes, upgrade/downgrade their house and convert personal houses into guild houses. 
  
  Keep in mind you still need to run an EU client on Glamorgan which can be found here (http://web.cdn.eamythic.com/us/daoc-eu/DAoCEUSetup.exe). Run the installer and choose either English, French or German. When prompted where to install the files, browse to your current Dark Age of Camelot game directory. The installer defaults to "C:Program FilesElectronic ArtsDark Age of Camelot EU" so verify that this location is correct or browse to the correct directory. Once the installer is completed, run the game as normal.
