This weekend, starting Saturday 5/8 at 2:00 PM EDT and ending Monday 5/10 at 11:00 AM EDT we will be running a Battleground Event on all Normal ruleset servers. Cathal Valley will be opened to all players, regardless of character and realm level. While inside of Cathal Valley, Realms will endeavor to slay Martigon, a Demonic Emissary of Lilith. This monster NPC spawns centered on the road between all three realms mile gates. The realm which lands the killing blow to Martigon will be granted with an Enhancement NPC that will spawn and last for five minutes. This NPC will grant members of the killing realm a RP/BP buff of 15%, which will persist through death and last one and a half hours.

Please be aware that CS will not take appeals regarding Martigon’s death. He is placed in an RvR zone and it should be understood he will be highly contested. Martigon will spawn consistently 20 minutes after each death, so if your realm at first fails to claim their buff the chance to try again will soon present itself.

We will be bringing the Ywain cluster down for maintenance tomorrow morning 5/6/2010 at 8:00 AM EST. We expect the cluster to come back up no later than 1:00pm EST. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.

As the forces of Albion, Midgard, and Hibernia continue their fight, the Harbinger of Spring has been driven back to places unknown as summer approaches. The Heroes of the Realm will continue to linger and complete the rites of spring quest, but will no longer offer it.

We are bringing the Ywain cluster offline for immediate maintenance. At this time we aniticipate that Ywain will be back online no later than  8:30M EDT. Please be sure to watch the Herald for updates regarding this downtime.

We will be bringing the Pendragon Test Server offline tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM EDT to implement the first version of Patch 1.103 for testing. At this time we anticipate that Pendragon will be back online no later than 3:30 PM EDT. Highlights from this version of 1.103 include:

• Many powerful new items have been added to the Shrouded Isle Dragon Scale vendors!
• The Nightshade Class has seen many balance changes.
• Bind on Equip item functionality has been removed from the game. All previously Bind on Equip items are now tradeable.

During this downtime we will also be bringing the Camlann, Canterbury, Cumbria, Diera and Dyvet servers offline. During this maintenance we will be shutting down all zones aside from Housing zones, transitioning these servers into archived status. Characters logged off in disabled zones will find themselves returned to the Housing zone upon logging back in. At this time we anticipate that these archived servers will be back online no later than 3:30 PM EDT/1930 GMT.

Please be sure to read the Free Character Transfer FAQ and the Free Character Transfer Instructions for any questions you may have about the process!

Please remember, if you are transferring to a server which is a different language from your source server it is highly suggested that you download the appropriate language client for the server you wish to play on. If you use a mismatching client you will encounter some technical difficulties, not allowing you to perform certain actions in the game.

Please be advised that all transfers are final and cannot be reverted. Please be careful to make sure you are transferring to the correct server before initiating the transfer command.

PLEASE NOTE: Players transferring from the Canterbury Classic server must complete the ML 1-5 Quests prior to transferring. Your characters will be unable to transfer to a new server, and will be prompted with an error stating that you are ineligible for transfer, until you have completed the quest. These quests are found in each Realms’ central housing market and are available from the following NPC’s.
